LIVING: SNOW DAY.

We received a dusting of snow here in Alabama today. For those of you who receive snow regularly, it's easy to mock the Southerners who shut down their cities at even the whisper of ice or snow. But as I walked around our little neighborhood, slush clinging to my boots, I thought about how snow for us is a little treat. Much like being on a diet restricting the decadence and luxury of chocolate, a lot of us long for snow because of the experience, the beauty, and how it can make the world feel a little better, even if it's not. Oh, we know snow exists, but we never get to see it, to revel in it, or taste it. So, this snow day was a much anticipated chocolate truffle for us.
